Bronze sculpture. 'Bye Bye Eye' by Ronald Searle

Bronze Sculpture. 'Bye Bye Eye' by Ronald Searle (1920-2011).

This fine and interesting sculpture in bronze by Ronald Searle was produced in 1991 in a very small run of only twenty five. Searle, famous for his illustrations of "St. Trinian's" and "Molesworth" produced several items for the British Art Medal Society. The Artist wrote of this particular sculpture, that it may be seen "Either as a weeping paperweight, a tearful, fearful separation object, a cry-by-night loveletter weight or simply as an ex-voto because it all turned out well in the end".

This fascinating and tactile bronze sculpture is 9cm wide, 6cm deep and lying flat stands 2cm high. (Measurements approximate). It is in excellent condition with original patination. It has no damage and no restoration.
